Henry County is growing and thriving. What an awesome place to call home! Henry County is where my family and I are proud to call home! Home is our place of love, comfort, safety, and enjoying our children, and neighbors. Because this is where I live, work, and relax, my assignment as a commissioner is beyond a job; it is my life calling of service to others. My commitment to the growth and development of Henry County is embedded in a genuine desire to provide safe environmentally responsible livable communities of choice. As a community servant leader, I am an unwavering balanced responsive voice representing the expanding needs of constituents and the county.

Just who is
Vivian Thomas??
Vivian Thomas is Georgia-born and raised. A grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, former commissioner, and 2022 vice-chair of the Henry County Board of Commissioners. Vivian completed her ungraduated studies at Georgia State University and graduate studies at Clayton Stte University. She is an ACCG Certified County Commissioner. She also completed two of NACo’s esteemed training programs: the High-Performance Leadership Program, and the County Leadership Institute. Ms. Thomas was selected as Commissioner of the Year by Georgia Minority Business Awards in March of 2022. Commissioner Thomas is equipped and ready to lead Henry County forward in this next era of greatness and challenges. Vivian is an engaged community servant leader. She is always at the forefront assisting with the needs of the community.
